October 2011 Food Recalls
River Ranch Fresh Foods recalled several bagged salad products due to possible contamination.Additional recalls:
Lots of NOW Foods brewer’s yeast was recalled due to an undeclared allergen.
Less than 200 packages of Lean Cuisine Dinnertime Selects chicken fettuccini that contained the wrong ingredient.Several-hundred gallons of Farmers All Natural Creamery whole milkApproximately 4,800 individual packages of Fruit Fresh Up, Inc. fresh cut cantaloupe and cut mixed fruit containing cantaloupe as part of a larger recall.Prolab Nutrition Inc. whey protein products that had been distributed internationally due to undeclared allergens.

Kroger’s Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream because it may contain an unlisted ingredient.
Consumer products can fail to meet safety standards and be subject to the security of the withdrawal of products from around the country. Sometimes it is a review body that the safety of retirement issues. Other times it may be the actual manufacture issuing the recall notice. Hand Trucks: Trucks is recalling Harper Hand Trucks sold nationwide from September 2008 until March 2009. When tires are overinflated, which can explode and cause the wheel hub to separate or break, spare drive from downtown. This poses an injury hazard. Trek Bicycles: Trek Bicycle Corporation is recalling Trek 2012 FX and bicycles sold in the country district in May 2011-September 2011. The screw holding the seat clamp the seat post may break presents a fall hazard. Bicycles affected by this recall includes the following models: Model Year 2012: Trek FX 7.2, FX 7.3, 7.4 FX and FX 7.5, District, and 9 District bicycle models: models WSD, Livestrong and Disco.

October 2011 Children’s Gear Recalls + B.O.B
B.O.B. recalled nearly 440,000 of its single and double jogging strollers due to a possible choking hazard.

BUGGIES BB: BB Buggies Inc. is recalling Bad Boy Buggies off road utility vehicles sold nationwide from August 2009 June 2011. The whole arm direction can break and cause the driver to lose control, representing a fall hazard. This recall involves Bad Boy LT, Classic, XT, XT model XTO and Safari off-road electric utility vehicle. “Bad Boy” is printed on the side or front of vehicles.

October 2011 Consumer Product Recalls
Marshall Group recalled about 39,000 bottles of its Marshall Gardens PatioGlo Bio-Fuel Gel after reports of incidents resulting in burn injuries.

About 1.6 million bottles and cans of Bird Brain pourable gel fuel due to burn hazard.
About 2,500 Ballard Designs “Stafford” step stools due to a fall hazard.
About 3,200 Roman shades and roll-up blinds sold from March 2010 through September 2011due to a strangulation hazard.
October 2011 product recalls + children’s + Ikea
IKEA recalled about 58,000 BUSA children’s folding tents because they may pose a laceration or puncture hazard.
October 2011 Electric Recalls
Nidec Motor Corporation and Emerson Motor Company recalled approximately 2,000 Ecotech EZ variable speed pool pump motors due to electrical shock hazard.
Reclining Glider: Big Lots is recalling Glider Recliner Microfiber with leather recliners and Ottoman Glider with Ottoman sold in Big Lots stores nationwide from January 2005 to December 2009. An exhibition space between the moving parts of the chair and the base frame can allow access to small children and babies, which is a danger of entrapment. In addition, other moving parts in the chair and ottoman can be a risk finger pinching and crushing. A label on the seat of the chair identifies the manufacturer as Shindin Metal & Plastic Products Ltd. Dongguan A small label on the metal bar under the front seat that says “Maximum load weight of 250 pounds.”

October 2011 pharmaceutical recalls
Superior Metabolic Technologies recalled all lots of the testosterone booster Uprizing 2.0 because it appears to contain an unapproved new drug.

GEL FUEL: Evergreen Enterprises is recalling bottles Fireside Gel fuel sold nationwide from December 2010 to September 2011. Pourable gel fuel spray can ignite unexpectedly in people and nearby objects when poured into a brazier of fire still burning. The words “Fireside,” “Gel Fuel,” “Evergreen” and “Flag & Garden” are on the package labels. The bottles were sold by the case in quantities of 12. The following products are being recalled:

RANGETOPS GAS: General Electric is recalling GE Monogram ® Pro rangetop with Grill sold nationwide from May 2008 to August 2011. Rangetops burners operating liquefied petroleum gas (“LP” or propane) can stop or turn the light on the gas control knob is left in a position between OFF and LITE, which is a risk of fire or explosion delayed. Grill units operate with liquefied petroleum gas (“LP” or propane) or natural gas. Rangetop units are 36 or 48 inches wide with a stainless steel finish GE Monogram ® plate at the center front of the unit. Series models and can be found at www.recalls.org.
